Priceless time is a short drama based all around the outcome of a meeting. The meeting tells the story of two Characters the first is Hannah who’s boyfriend is in jail waiting to be sentenced who was innocent and had taken the wrap for his close friend and is about to serve a long term sentence for being caught in possession. With Hannah’s boyfriend locked up in prison about to be sentenced he has arranged for his friend Lance to come see Hannah and hopefully see sense about owning up that it was his drugs in the car and go confess to police. Hannahs boyfriend took the wrap for is the second character of the drama Lance who promised to give a five figure payment to hannah for her boyfriend which he has not and has ignored calls from Hannah’s boyfriend from prison and now finally agrees to meet Hannah.Since his friend taking the wrap Lance has been living life and become very successful but after not sticking to his promise to financially pay Hannah for her boyfriend she pleads with Lance to own for the crimes he has committed Hannah’s boyfriend has demanded he does from prison Lance listen to Hannah’s demands and turn himself in so Hannah’s boyfriend will be released from prison? or could the outcome of the visit change both their lives forever. On the edge tells the story of Mark a successful businessman who has hit financial rock bottom being declared bankrupt with his business going into administration and his home being repossessed. Mark has decided to end his life after the financial struggles and pressures of losing everything he does not want to live poor he would rather die and travels down to the river promenade to put a end to his life by jumping into the river. It is only when James a jogger on his daily run down the promenade notices Mark in distress and realises he is about to jump into the river and tries to talk him out of jumping into the river. Will James be able to talk Mark who is a complete stranger out of ending his life? Or is mark set in his ways James will only find out if trying to talk Mark out of it when he returns home from his jog. The drama is a emotional and touching on a serious topic that upsettingly happens in day to day life especially in young men who take their own life due stress depression and pressures of life. Guilt is another emotion in my drama with ‘James’ having to live with the guilt he could of changed the outcome and may be persuaded ‘Mark’ not to jump.
